The Ultimate Gameshow

What is the Ultimate Gameshow and How Much Does It Cost? Here Are All The Details.

The Ultimate Gameshow is a wonderfully simple game to play but also a very challenging one. As an ice breaker for a dance or as a stand alone entertainment option the gameshow can be played for 30 minutes or up to three hours depending on the needs of the client. The gameshow was developed by James R. Matthew to meet demands of his clients for a gameshow form of entertainment that would involve music trivia like “Name That Tune” but move along faster and involve more people at one time. It is designed to be fast paced, very interactive and a whole lot of fun! It can be tailored to any group so that information about the client’s group or organization can be incorporated into the challenges. Costs will very from $300.00 for a noon hour performance to $1000.00 for a full evening (a hypnosis show and or do music may also be added to this performance if needed).

The gameshow can be played with any size group and with any size team. Ideal numbers of people range from 20 to 250 people. The format can be modified to handle up to 1000 people. It is designed to be a team building exercise the requires a competing group to perform a series of challenges better than the other teams competing. The teams are playing for points. Each challenge is worth a certain a certain amount of points (some more than others) - the team with the most points at the end of the final round wins the prize package (supplied by the corporation or club).

Typically, when the gameshow is played for corporate and club functions the competing teams will consist of any group of people sitting at a table. For example, during staff parties people are usually seated at tables of 6 to 8 seats. Each team would then have 6 to 8 people at it. Sometimes tables will join together to make their team bigger and that is fine too. It is not the size that matters in this game but the enthusiasm, competitiveness and knowledge of the team. Sometimes the more people you have is an asset though…. Here is why.

Teams will compete in different challenges - the first one is a scavenger hunt. Teams will have to locate items that I ask for. These are sometimes common items that they may have on their persons like certain credit cards, shades of lipstick and business cards. This part also may involve trivia too. There are also action challenges that must be performed by either an individual or as a group.

The next challenge is the music trivia. If you know your music (song title and artist) then you’ll do great. Even better if you know your movie music and who starred in it. Even better if your team is motivated enough to get up and dance when the time is right - Loudness and originality are the winning ingredients in this challenge.

If the gameshow is being performed prior to a performance of J. R. Matthew’s Hypnosis show than it will end with what is known as the “Great Hypno Challenge”. This is where teams try to see how many of their team mates have the ability to get hypnotized at their table. A series of hypno challenges will follow this to show who is and who is not hypnotized. Points are awarded for each person that gets hypnotized.

Set up for the gameshow requires production (sound and sometimes lighting) which is included in the cost of the show.
